Safety

Get there with confidence

The safety tools in Sawari, described as they exist in the product and its policies — and what they can and can't do.

In an emergency, contact emergency services first. In India, dial 112. Sawari's SOS feature, where available, is not a replacement for calling emergency services.

What safety tools can't do

No technology platform can guarantee that an incident will never happen. Verification lowers risk but cannot guarantee how another person will behave. Use your judgement: check the trip details before you confirm, share your trip, and leave a trip that doesn't feel right.

Behaviour on Sawari

Harassment, intimidation, discrimination and threatening behaviour are not allowed. Read the community guidelines and the full safety policy.

Frequently asked questions

How does Sawari verify users?

Where applicable, Sawari may verify user, employee and vehicle information — for example a corporate email address or employee verification for corporate features, and licence, vehicle and insurance information for drivers. Verification lowers risk, but no platform can guarantee how another person will behave.

How does Sawari handle safety?

Depending on the service and the permissions you grant, Sawari provides trip information before you travel, live trip features and trip sharing, reporting of unsafe behaviour, support, and SOS functionality where available. If there is immediate danger, contact emergency services first — in India, dial 112.

Do drivers have to accept every request?

No. Drivers choose which ride requests to accept. Sawari does not guarantee that a particular driver or rider will accept a request.
